Abstract

Skating boot has an integral upper and sole with a slotted heel which can accept a pin for supporting a separate moulding for covering the heel and ankle of the wearer. Pref. the upper is moulded of polamide-6 and the ankle cover is moulded of slightly more flexible material, pref. polyamide-11. Boots are relative low-cost boots with replaceable ankle supports for use by competitive skaters. Pref. the pivot is a rod integrally moulded with the anke cover. The heel may be partly hollow, for increased flexibility to accept the rod.
