Abstract
Réacteur nucléaire ayant un coefficient de température de la réactivité négatif instantané de valeur élevée. Le coeur de réacteur 13, formé d'une pluralité d'éléments combustibles étanches, est logé dans une cuve 11 remplie d'eau 21. Chaque élément combustible contient un mélange homogène solide comportant, en poids, 50-79 % d'hydrure de zirconium, 20-50 % d'uranium et 0,5-1,5 % d'erbium. L'uranium n'est pas enrichi à plus de 20 % et le rapport des nombres d'atomes hydrogène/zirconium est de 1,5/1 a 1,7/1. Application aux réacteurs de recherche à sécurité intrinsèque.
