Abstract

The circulating heat exchange medium in the cooling, freezing or heat pump system has a control arrangement. The arrangement ensures efficient operating conditions under conditions changing over a wide range and on changeover between different modes of operation. At the outlet end of the compressor (7) a part of the heat exchanger fluid is tapped away from the circulation. This part of fluid is diverted to the low pressure end of the compressor so that this fluid will be at a mean temp. depending on the temp. at outlet and low pressure ends. The fluid is expanded and the ratio of the liquid and gas is controlled in the expansion vessel in relation to this mean temperature. The liquid is introduced or drawn from the circulation depending on this mean temp.
