Abstract
L'invention concerne l'obtention de pastilles d'un combustible nucléaire à caractéristiques physiques réglées. Le combustible est constitué par de la poudre d'oxydes de U, éventuellement mélangée à des oxydes de Th ou de Pu. On y incorpore une quantité de pentoxyde de niobium suffisante pour favoriser la croissance des grains dans les comprimés soumis à frittage, et l'on ajuste les paramètres du frittage (durée, température, potentiel de O2 ) de façon à éviter l'emprisonnement, dans les pastilles, d'impuretés gênantes. Application : production d'un combustible convenable pour réacteur nucléaire.
