Abstract

The method of attaching a sidecar frame to a motor cycle uses a tube at each end of the frame, sloping upwards from the horizontal base to anchorages on top of the cycle frame. These are attached by connectors with a cone shaped plug projecting from the end of each tube fitting inside a seating at the cycle anchorage, locked together by an external nut. This gives a self centering action, and the horizontal frame has an extension for an L shaped bar forming part of the wheel securing system. This is connected with a shallow arch shaped piece forming part of the suspension. Each connector on a strut is locked by a safety tab connected to the nut.
