Abstract
Heater comprising a collector which acts as a reservoir for heated water, has an automatically controlled valve which opens or closes according to the intensity of the solar radiation and to the temp. of the stored water. The position of the valve is regulated by an appts. which brings about on one hand the progressive displacement of the valve into a range of stable positions and on the other hand the opening and closing of the valve with a large and rapid displacement. The appts. regulates the position of the valve which fixes the boundaries of an orifice w.r.t. a frame having a closed part and an open part. It is designed to cause the valve to swing between two positions in which it does or does not shut off the open part of the frame and to regulate the orientation of the valve so that the orifice, when it is disposed opposite the open part of the frame, is turned towards the sun when it shines directly on the appts. The invention resolves the problem posed by the antagonism of the functionings of the two types of existing appts. one bringing about a sudden displacement of the centre of gravity between two stable extreme positions, the other bringing about a progressive displacement in a continuous range of stable positions.
