Abstract

The connector consists basically of a band of metal bent into a n overlapped rectangle, a bolt securing the cable or cables within a rectangle by being screwed through the overlapping section. It is used esp. for switchgear connections. The rectangle loop is formed from a single rectangle metal strip (12) having threaded holes (26, 28) at each end which are aligned after folding. At a position close to one end a short slot (34) is cut part way across the strip longitudinal axis. The strip end furthest away from the slot is partly triangular (32) locating with the slot when folded.
