Abstract

The shafts for winders on watches are of various lengths which often require several assembly and disassembly operations to determine their actual length. These operations are simplified by a tool which determines the length and cuts a shaft to this length. A bar element (2) slides in a rectangular sleeve (1) to move index elements (3, 4) to determine length (A) of a watch winder shaft (20) when button (19) is in position. A button (12) locks sliding elements to allow removal of shaft from the watch. It is placed against finger (8) and in groove (8) on the sliding elements to permit cutting by operation of pivoting lever.
