Abstract

The electro-therapy system uses direct current. DC and low frequency altenating current are simultaneously applied to the patient. Typically the a.c. is sinusoidal current from the mains. There can be a second potentiometer inserted in the circuit supplying the direct current from the first potentiometer to the patient. The terminals of the second potentiometer are connected to an alternating-current supply, while its cursor regulates the voltage of the alternating current superimposed on the direct current.
