Abstract
The temp. in a motor vehicle is controlled using internal and external air temp. sensors by an all or nothing regulator. This acts to provide the temp. demanded. A temp. control (1) displays the desired temp. value which is passed into a calculator (3) with inputs (4, 5) from internal (6) and external (7) temp. sensors. The calculator output (W1) is applied to a hysteresis comparator (10) which also receives a signal W2) via an amplifier (13) from a temp. sensor (15) just downstream of heat exchanger. Comparator output is amplified (17) to control electrovalve (19) upstream of heat exchanger water supply.
