Abstract

The harvester has a built-on chopper arranged in the region of the straw outlet bonnet, where the rotating blades can be covered by a straw guide flap. The guide flap can be pivoted about a bottom axis of rotation on the chopper housing and the chopper is belt driven. There are selection-and/or cut off mechanisms (14, 14') for cutting off or releasing the chopper drive. These can be brought into operation according to the pivot motion and position of the straw guide flap (11).
