Abstract

Procédé en phase liquide pour l'hydrogénolyse d'acétals ou de cétals d'hydrocarbures organiques. On mélange et on fait réagir l'acétal ou le cétal avec de l'hydrogène une température d'environ -15 degrés C à environ 12 degrés C et sous une pression absolue d'environ 3,5 à environ 140 kg/c**m2 en présence d'une quantité catalytique d'un catalyseur principalement constitué : 1. d'un halogénure d'un élément du groupe III A et, 2. d'un catalyseur d'hydrogénation sur support au platine ou au rhodium, ou d'une combinaison de ceux-ci. Application à la production d'éthers, d'alcools ou d'hydroxyéthers.
