Abstract

L'invention porte plus spécialement sur un mécanisme supplémentaire qui, prévu sur une machine écrivant de droite à gauche, permet aussi d'écrire de gauche à droite avec cette machine. Ce mécanisme comprend un accouplement 13, une came 15 et un engrenage 16, 20, 21 combinés avec la commande par tambour 10 et câble 6 du chariot porte-papier ou du chariot 2 sur lequel est disposé le porte-caractères 1. L'invention permet en particulier l'écriture de gauche à droite des nombres dans un texte, en langue arabe par exemple, écrit de droite à gauche.
