Abstract

Tools for moulding spectacle frames with partially inset side arm hinges are fitted with ejector bars having tips relieved sufficiently to accommodate the protruding hinge lugs and an insert clamp. The clamp can pivot about an offset spindle to disengage the internal edges of the hinge lugs. The design allows automatic mechanical release of projecting hinge lugs which are inclined to support the side arms in a slightly convergent position when fully open.
