Abstract

Procédé et dispositif pour l'extraction de particules d'un courant gazeux avec un rendement élevé même dans le cas de particules inférieures à 1 micron. Le dispositif comprend un lit de fibres de 50 à 1000 microns de diamètre moyen qui sont tassées de façon à donner un volume d'espaces vides d'au moins 90 %, un moyen de champ électrostatique ou d'ionisation en amont du lit de fibres de façon à appliquer une charge aux particules, et un moyen d'irrigation du lit de fibres et, en option, des électrodes de masse sur le moyen électrostatique ainsi qu'un moyen pour enlever les particules du lit de fibres et en option, des électrodes de masse. Le procédé permet la séparation de tout type de particules et, plus particulièrement, de particules solides insolubles dans des courants gazeux ayant un débit de 1,8 à 4,6 ou plus mètres par seconde Les fibres ont de 100 à 500 microns de diametre et son de préférence des fibres de verre d'un diamètre de 100 à 250 microns.
