Abstract

Printed sheet comprising a cardboard or similar rigid support covered with a transparent plastic film is made with the printed pattern applied to the internal face of the plastic film (instead of on the covered face of the supporting sheet). The print pattern is not masked or distorted by variations in the film/support interface, e.g. voids or obscuration by any interfacial adhesive coating. The support may be cut or creased to define fold axes without spoiling the print pattern. Used esp. to mfr. sheet of cardboard, PVC or similar covered with either polypropylene film (pref. is approx. 15 mu thick) or polyester (e.g. PET) film (pref. is approx. 12 mu m thick).
