Abstract

On place une tôle sur une matrice disposée sur un chariot dans une machine comportant un premier rouleau de calandrage, un second rouleau de calandrage, un rouleau porteur avant et un rouleau porteur arrière disposés respectivement en avant et en arrière du second rouleau de calandrage, et tous deux adjacents à ce rouleau, et dont les surfaces de roulement coopèrent avec la surface de roulement du second rouleau de calandrage afin de définir un plan de support du chariot, tous les rouleaux ayant des axes de rotation parallèles, on place la pièce à travailler avec l'une de ses surfaces contiguë à la surface de la matrice comportant le motif à reproduire, on dispose un bloc en une matière élastomère avec une surface contiguë à une surface opposée de ladite pièce à former, on entraîne simultanément tous les rouleaux et on fait passer le sandwich formé par ledit bloc, la pièce à former, la matrice et le chariot, tout d'abord sur le rouleau porteur avant, dans l'intervalle des rouleaux de calandrage et ensuite sur le rouleau porteur arrière, soutenant ainsi le chariot et la matrice contre toute déformation tout en déformant en même temps la pièce à travailler sur la matrice portant le motif à reproduire, sous l'action du fluage plastique du bloc de matière élastomère.
