Abstract

L'invention concerne un joint d'étanchéité annulaire du type à compression radiale pour canalisation formée de tuyaux à emboîtement et bout mâle, ledit emboîtement présentant un chambrage interne permettant le logement et le maintien du joint, ledit joint présentant un talon d'ancrage et une portion à profil général trapézoïdal de sorte que la surface interne essentiellement tronconique dudit joint soit convergente vers le fond de l'emboîtement et forme une lèvre à profil triangulaire. Selon l'invention, ce joint est remarquable par le fait que la surface de la portion trapézoïdale soumise au contact du milieu circulant dans la canalisation est constituée par un premier matériau élastomère résistant à la corrosion due audit milieu, tandis que la surface du talon d'ancrage soumise au contact du milieu ambiant extérieur à la canalisation est constituée par un deuxième matériau élastomère résistant à l'action dudit milieu et favorisant l'adhérence dudit talon au chambrage interne par simple contact. Application notamment au raccordement de canalisations en fonte pour le gaz
