Abstract
L'invention concerne un procédé de localisation de ruptures de gaine dans un réacteur nucléaire, plus spécialement du type à neutrons rapides. Selon ce procédé on effectue la mesure de l'âge de l'élément combustible défectueux en déterminant le rapport entre deux produits de fission constitués par deux isotopes gazeux stables ou quasi-stables ayant des cinétiques de formation de gaz disponible différentes en fonction du taux de combustion. On détermine par exemple le rapport entre un isotope d'un premier groupe comprenant **128Xe et ** 130Xe et un isotope d'un deuxième groupe comprenant **131Xe **132Xe ** 134Xe et **136Xe. On prélève par le circuit 1, en provenance du réacteur, le gaz à analyser qui est adsorbé à une température cryogénique sur du charbon actif contenu dans une colonne C1 ou C2 . Après réchauffage de la colonne et balyage par un courant d'hélium parcourant la tuyauterie 2 le gaz désorbé est analysé dans le spectromètre de masse 3.
