Abstract

On obtient un mélange de substances antibiotiques appelé polymyxine F, en cultivant dans des conditions aérobies en immersion une souche de Bacillus circulans. Cette souche de Bacillus circulans a été déposée à l'American Type Culture Collection sous le n degrés ATCC 31228. La figure est le spectre d'absorption infrarouge du tétrachlorhydrate de la polymyxine F dans le bromure de potassium. Le mélange antibiotique est actif vis-à-vis de bactéries gram-négatives et de bactéries gram-positives.
