Abstract

The indicator control for a vehicle has the earth return of the electronic circuit via a diode which charges a capacitor when the signal lamps are extinguished. A multivibrator circuit is used, using low value capacitors of stable time constant. When the lights (4, 5) go out, the diode (7) charges the capacitor (14), feeding the electronic circuit. When the lights are on, the voltage drop at the end of a resistance (3) is enough to saturate the transistor (9). This gives a flashing frequency of 1 to 2 Hz.
