Abstract

Procédé de fabrication d'un conducteur isolé en matériau plastique en mousse. Le procédé comprend la formation d'un isolant en mousse sur un fil de conducteur au moyen d'une extrudeuse à injection de gaz et le passage du fil de conducteur comportant cet isolant en mousse dans un moyen de refroidissement télescopique comprenant un récipient mobile qui doit être réglé en position par rappon à la tête d'une extrudeuse à injection de gaz de façon à obtenir une valeur donnée de capacité du conducteur isolé en matériau plastique en mousse en fonction d'un signal électrique provenant d'un dispositif de contrôle de capacité qui détecte une valeur de capacité dudit conducteur. Le procédé selon la présente invention est caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend, en outre, la détection de la position du récipient mobile par rapport à ses positions critiques et le réglage du débit d'injection du gaz de formation de mousse de façon à déplacer le récipient à sa position médiane de mouvement. Application à la fabrication des câbles de télécommunication et des câbles coaxiaux.
