Abstract

The one-piece door and window frame can be arranged to match a traditional building, having a top lintel and a threshold etc. at the bottom. It is equipped with a complete door or window and removable shutter, together with attachments (7) for securing it directly to the walls of the building. The frame can be prefabricated in a factory by mounting the locking and opening fittings on marble and then casting the frame with securing devices in position. These fittings can be of wood, metal or plastics, while the shutters can be of the rolling type.
