Abstract

A pack of cellulosic tissue absorbent wiping sheet, wound in a spiral and partially pre-cut into sections, is wrapped against soiling by an envelope of e.g. heat-shrinkable polyethylene, which forms a tight sheath around the pack. The wiping sheet pack comprises an innermost spiral which is free, i.e. not in contact with a support roll. This innermost spiral contains a cylindrical space into which the edge of the wrapping sheet may be pushed when the pack is not in use. When required for use it is sufficient to pull out the edge of the wrapping, and reach the innermost spiral through the tube of the wrap, removing the tissue as required. The pack is kept inside the wrapping sheath, and the inner spiral layers are removed by withdrawal from the central opening of the pack, so that the wiping sheets remain clean, even in very dirty surroundings.
