Abstract

The circuit connector or jumper allows connection between different circuits without the use of plugs and sockets. The circuit conductors are laid on an insulating strip backed by a ferro-magnetic material. The jumper can consist of an electrically conducting magnet which is laid across the gap between the conductors or can consist of a non-conducting magnet carrying on one face of polyurethane foam loaded with colloidal graphite. In this case the conductors are covered by an insulating layer having two small gaps into which protrusions from the polyurethane are fitted to bridge the gap. The system is economical and free from oxidn.
