Abstract

For mounting an exhaust gas measurement probe (20) on an exhaust gas pipe (10), a mounting device having a base plate (27) to be secured on the pipe is proposed, on which plate a guide piece (17) is fitted by means of a bearing bush (40) and a hinge piece (66), this guide piece (17) being capable both of moving radially relative to the pipe and also swivelling in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the pipe. The guide piece comprises an axial through-bore (45) for receiving with longitudinal movement the measurement probe, and comprises at its end facing the surface of the pipe a conical sealing body (15), which is intended to engage in a measurement bore (11) arranged on the exhaust gas pipe (10). A compression spring (50) active between the bearing bush (40) and the guide piece (17) forces the sealing body (15) into close contact with the measurement probe. The measurement probe is introduced with a slide fitting into the through-bore of the guide piece, so that a gas escape in the area of the measurement probe is effectively prevented in each of its possible positions relative to the exhaust gas pipe.
