Thioamide derivs. are of formula (I): In the formula R1 is H, alkyl, aryl or aralkyl R2 is pyridazine, pyridazinone, or pyridazinethione, opt. substd. by halogen, mercapto, hydroxy, alkyl, thioalkyl, aryl, aralkyl or basic amino, n is 0-3 R1 and R2 together form pyridazine, pyridazinone, or pyridazinethione, provided that n is 0 R2 may bind to R1 and methylene via atom R3 and R4 are each H or alkyl and R3 and R4 may form a ring opt. with alkylene, oxygen, sulphur, or nitrogen m is 0-4 and when m is 1-4, the methylene may be substd. by alkylene. (I) is useful in treatment or prophylaxis of peptic ulcers. (I) also show analgesic, antiinflammatory, and antibacterial activities.
