Abstract

The cheque is provided with a copy for record purposes, this being a duplicate attached underneath the cheque. The duplicate is self-printing, the inscription being formed as the cheque is written and has certain areas of its surface desensitised in order not to copy signatures. This duplicate is folded centrally, along the perforations provided, and is filed in a wallet or folder which is supplied with the cheque book. The copies are arranged vertically on one side of the wallet, the cheque book fitting onto the remaining side.
