Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé continu de fabrication de matières à mouler sous pression à base de résines phénolformol, suivant lequel on effectue la polycondensation du phénol ou de ses homologues sur le formaldéhyde en solution aqueuse, à 140-180 degrés C sous une pression de 9 à 25 atm. On réalise la polycondensation en présence d'une solution à 10-15 % d'un catalyseur du type acide ou alcalin dans le formol. On obtient ainsi une résine émulsionnée dans l'eau que l'on refroidit jusqu'a 70-140 degrés C et qu'on mélange à 70-160 degrés C et sous une pression de 20 à 30 atm avec une charge, un durcisseur et un lubrifiant jusqu'à l'obtention d'une masse homogène. On soumet la masse obtenue à un traitement thermique en abaissant graduellement la température de 160 degrés jusqu'à 80 degrés C sous une dépression de 90 à 600 mm de Hg. Le procédé peut trouver des applications dans la fabrication des phénoplastes.
