Abstract
The pattern is used as a test piece for checking the performance of an ultrasonic cracks testing machine. It has a recess with walls incorporating surfaces which are reflecting for ultrasonic waves. The recess (22) is limited by at least two cylindrical surfaces (24, 26), whose generatrices are parallel to each other. Two or these surfaces (24, 26) are connected by a plane surface (28) perpendicular to their generatrices. The reflecting surface consists of one of the plane surfaces (28) and the cylindrical surface (26) which is adjacent to it.
