Abstract

An analogue-to-digital converter is used for conversion of analogue parameters into a Fibonacci p-code. It is designed using a new operating method to eliminate errors by the read-off ambiguities associated with such code and thus to ensure reliable conversion. The device is applicable to analogue-to-digital conversion, coded pulse remote measurement systems, numerically controlled machine tool measurement systems, ratio measurement systems, and computer input systems. The converter contains a code reader device and a device contg. a Fibonacci p-code coding table. A code reading signal is input to the code reader control input. The table contains a series of binary character combinations corresp to minimal p-code number equivalents.
