Abstract

A rectangular, plastic housing (10) is inserted into a recess in a door. The visible surface of the housing (10) has a cavity (12) containing a catch (13) which is accessible through the cavity (12) for operating the locking mechanism. The catch (13) is mounted in the housing (10) on a pivot axle (20) and includes supports (21) for an axle (22) paralle to the pivot axle. The end of (18) a hooked bolt (16) fits onto the axle (22) and extends through one of the short sides of the housing (10). The side of the housing (10) containing the hole (15) for the bolt (16) has a projection (23) which, together with a support rim (14) forms a conical space for fitting the housing in the door recess.
