Abstract

The machine is used for weighing fruit and vegetables and is adjustable for weighing range. It comprises a balance arm (1, 2), one side (1b) having a slide (1f, 1g) underneath for holding the weighing spring (3). The other end of this spring is attached to a slider (11) fitting over an inclined plane (12). To alter the spring tension this slider is wound along (14) the incline, up or down, the other end following suit. The other side (1a) of the balance arm contacts (1c) the fruit in a conveyor pan (4) and tips it when over a set limit.
