Abstract

The active non-linear low-pass filter is esp. for the removal of non-gaussian characteristic noise. The filter is particularly suitable for use in radar targer discrimination and has a minimum inherent signal delay. The filter has a level comparator (C) fed from the input and output signals. The input block of the filter (B1) has four series lements consisting of a differentiating stage, a limiter, an integrator and a matching output stage. The output block (BO), providing feedback has a transfer function; GO (S) = W/S using a Miller integrator and a high gain amplifier.
