Abstract

Steel cable made up from wire strands is anchored by a clamp configuration formed by plastically deforming and splaying wires. The anchor is pear-shaped and at its starting point, adjoining the unplayed cable, the bend radius of individual wires (2) is limited to a predeterminable min. size. Its end part is formed by a hook-shaped inward bending (2) of the wires. These bend end sections (2") may be sited in a plane across the axis of the cable (1). With min. length, plastic deformation of wires at critical points is kept within permissible bounds.
