Abstract

Racemic or optically active phenol ethers of formula (I) and their salts are new. is a 6-membered heterocyclic ring opt. contg. another heteroatom or substd., esp. morpholino, or piperidino opt. substd. by OH or 1-4C alkyl; or piperazino substd. in the 4-position by 2-4C alkoxycarbonyl. Specifically claimed are cpds. (I; where is -NMe2 or a gp. (II). (I) are selective beta-blockers and antihypertensives, for treating coronary disorders, myocardial disorders and cardiac arrhythmics. Clinical dose is 10-800mg/day orally, or 5-200mg/day parenterally or rectally. The cpds. are used in human and veterinary medicine.
