Abstract

The earthing connection for an electrical installation includes two identical jaws (2, 2') with channels on their inner surfaces to enable them to grip a connection to be earthed. The jaws pivot in a frame (1) and are adjusted by a screw (4) which acts to close them. Both jaws carry earth wires (17, 17') so that they both carry any current to earth. In this way excessive current does not pass through a jaw pivot causing damage.
