Abstract

The measurement device has exchangeable jaws truncated-cone shaped at their free ends, each mounted on an arm, movable w.r.t. each other. An instrument is allocated to the arms, which senses the movement caused by the force to be measured. The two arms (20, 21) are parts of a one-piece measurement fork (13) with resistance strain gauges (34, 35) measuring the relative movement of the two arms. The measurement fork is axially symmetrical. The parts are held together by long bolts (26) with recesses to receive the heads so that they the flush with the surface.
