Abstract

The retaining collar, is designed for uses with electric cables. It consists of an outer aplit sleeve (3) an an inner plastics insulator portion (5, 6). The inner insulator has a profile that roughly follows the outer contours of the bundle of cables (2) being retained. It has each cable seated in one recess in the insulator. This part (6) of the insulator is relatively elastic and is reinforced by radial webbing (10).
