Abstract

A rigid or semi rigid outer container (5) contains a flexible container (2) having a neck passing through an opening in an end wall (10) of the container (5). A valve (3) is fitted to the neck. There is a cushion (1) of low density high elasticity plastics foam in the container (5). It is arranged below the container (2) and is capable of expanding so as substantially to fill the container (5) when the container (2) is empty. Filling of the flexible container (2) causes compression of the cushion (1) and it expands again as the load on it reduces. The cushion does not adhere to the walls of container (5) which may be a wooden cask.
