Abstract

La colonne de charge C dans la cuve verticale 6 est parcourue par les gaz de combustion des brûleurs oxy-combustibles 13 prévus à l'étage inférieur 7 du four 1. Le four 1 comporte des moyens de retenue 10 de la colonne de charge C au voisinage desquels débouchent des tuyères 14 et 15 d'injection de vents oxygénés de façon à obtenir la formation d'une voûte V et d'une chambre de combustion 12 stables. L'invention s'applique à la fusion des ferrailles et minerais préréduits.
