Abstract

L'invention concerne les lances d'insufflation immergeables dans une masse en fusion, par exemple un bain d'acier, et comprenant au moins un tube 1 entouré extérieurement au moins sur sa portion immergeable par un revêtement réfractaire 5, et présentant une partie terminale 3 à profil interne 7 convergeant dans le sens du soufflage. Les perfectionnements selon l'invention consistent en ce que la surface frontale 10, en contact direct avec la masse en fusion, présente une largeur substantiellement plus faible que dans la pratique habituelle, par exemple de 3 mm, et de préférence n'excédant pas 5 mm. L'invention procure une réduction de l'usure de la lance et améliore ainsi sa durabilité. Elle représente l'avantage économique de permettre l'emploi de tube en acier ordinaire.
