Abstract

Suivant l'invention, on prépare un cercle 10 présentant un profil extérieur correspondant à celui du corps du pneumatique. Ce cercle est fait d'un métal rigide mais suffisamment élastique pour qu'on puisse, en en enlevant un secteur 14, le resserrer sur lui-même pour faciliter le démoulage. Sur ce cercle, on confectionne l'anneau de bande de roulement T. On transporte ensuite ce cercle dans une presse dans laquelle il constitue l'élément intérieur du moule de moulage et de vulcanisation, en appui sur un bras fixe 47, tandis que l'élément extérieur de ce moule est composé d'un segment unique 51 représentant un arc de moins de 40 degrés . Le moulage et la vulcanisation s'effectuent arc par arc. On peut ainsi confectionner, mouler et vulcaniser, avec un investissement très réduit, des bandes de roulement séparées pour pneumatiques géants en petite série.
