Abstract

Procédé de production en continu de sirops de prépolymères et nouveaux produits ainsi obtenus. Dans ce procédé, on envoie en continu un monomère, comprenant du méthacrylate de méthyle comme composant principal, et un initiateur de polymérisation radicalaire à une zone de réaction, où un mélange sensiblement complet est obtenu; ou bien on envoie le monomère à une aire de réaction dans une zone de réaction où au moins deux aires de réaction, dans lesquelles un mélange sensiblement complet est obtenu, sont agencées en série, on envoie en continu un initiateur de polymérisation radicalaire en même temps à au moins deux aires de réaction, et on fait passer le monomère à travers ces aires successivement, en polymérisant le monomère pour former un sirop, et, dans ce dernier cas, on introduit le mélange réactionnel résultant dans une zone de réaction où un écoulement par piston est obtenu et on fait passer le mélange à travers la zone où la température et le temps de séjour moyen du mélange sont maintenus pour que le reste du polymère dans le sirop final soit produit dans la zone. La présente invention est particulièrement utile pour fournir des sirops de prépolymères employés pour la production de plaques de résine de méthacrylate de méthyle, éventuellement renforcées par des fibres.Process for the continuous production of prepolymer syrups and new products thus obtained. The present invention is particularly useful for providing syrups of prepolymers employed for the production of plates of methyl methacrylate resin, optionally reinforced with fibers.
