Abstract

The hammer may be fitted in four different positions on shaft (4). It is provided with two axial bores (2, 3) and by fitting it through either bore and subsequently turning it in such a way that either surface comes into contact with material the hammer is worn uniformly on four locations. The extend the working life of the hammer has to be replaced, it is made from three different layers of materials with different physical properties. The layer in the middle is of the softer material, whereas the two outside layers are hard.
