Abstract

a. Batterie fer-argent. b. Batterie caractérisée en ce qu'au moins une plaque positive est formée d'une plaque de support poreuse composée d'argent et d'un matériau actif d'électrode distribué sur cette plaque de support, au moins une plaque négative se composant d'une structure d'électrode totalement activée, poreuse, formée de particules frittées de fer actif, interconnectées, ayant une dimension moyenne de particules comprise entre 1 et 275 microns en diamètre, tandis que l'électrolyte est essentiellement formé d'une solution aqueuse contenant entre 10 et 50 % en poids de potasse KOH avec 2,5 grammes à 65 grammes d'hydroxyde de lithium LiOH par litre. c. L'invention s'applique notamment aux applications sous-marines.
