Abstract

L'invention concerne un appareil de séchage par rayonnement de chaleur. Cet appareil comprend un caisson 10 divisé en deux compartiments par une cloison 16, le compartiment inférieur renfermant des éléments chauffants 37. Le compartiment supérieur est normalement fermé et muni d'une entrée d'air 22 et d'une sortie d'air 29 pour la circulation normale de l'air. La cloison se termine à l'avant par une vanne 24. Si la vitesse de la bande w tombe au-dessous d'une certaine valeur (détecteur de vitesse 42, 41) un vérin 30 relève le volet de la vanne 24 et l'air est alors projeté à travers la fente 21 sur la bande pour refroidir cette dernière ainsi que les éléments chauffants 37. L'invention s'applique notamment au séchage des bandes de papier après l'impression.
