Le carreau 2 posé sur le mur 1 comprend une plaque-support en mousse dure 3, une feuille de contreplaqué 4 et une feuille de papier mince 5 qui reçoit une impression telle que celle d'une madrure de bois, cette feuille de papier étant protégée par une couche de vernis 7. De tels carreaux peuvent servir à tous les revêtements de pièces d'habitation.
