Abstract

L'invention concerne un appareil de tomographie pour la réalisation de tomographies transversales. Dans cet appareil qui permet de soumettre un patient 1 à un faisceau 3 de rayons X sortant d'un tube 5 à rayons X et traversant le corps du patient suivant une couche 7, le récepteur de rayonnement 8 est constitué de deux ou plusieurs rangées de détecteurs 9, 10 parallèles côte à côte et dont la longueur correspond à la zone associée du corps, le nombre des détecteurs par unité de longueur d'une rangée étant d'autant plus important que la rangée de détecteurs est courte, un dispositif de commande permettant la détection du faisceau de rayonnement 3 par l'une ou l'autre des rangées de détecteurs 9, 10. Application notamment aux appareils de tomographie utilisant un calculateur.
