Abstract
Equipement et procédé de jonction d'un câble sous-marin léger à l'amorce de câble coaxial connectée aux circuits d'un répéteur. Une bague de jonction assure l'ancrage du toron central du câble sous-marin 10 et la continuité électrique du conducteur interne. Un moulage de polyéthylène recouvre la bague et relie les diélectriques du câble et de l'amorce de câble du répéteur. Le moulage est recouvert d'une feuille de cuivre 25 soudee à la tresse 5 formant le conducteur externe de l'amorce de câble et à une tresse auxiliaire 26 soudée au conducteur externe du câble. La feuille 25 est revêtue de polyéthylène sur ses deux faces de sorte qu'après mise en place et chauffage d'une gaine prémoulée 18 en polyéthylène, la feuille se lie au diélectrique et à la gaine en assurant l'étanchéité de la jonction.Equipment and method for joining a lightweight submarine cable to the coaxial cable leader connected to the circuits of a repeater.
